Letters give language a visible form. The same alphabet can take many shapes, from a quiet line of text to a word that fills an entire page. Size, spacing and rhythm change how we read it. A typeface brings these related forms together, giving each letter a place within a larger system. Look at the spaces inside and between the letters, the proportions of capitals and lowercase, and the way repeated shapes build the texture of a paragraph. Follow a sentence across the line and notice how its rhythm changes with a different weight or size. Some details become clearer in a headline, while others reveal themselves only through continuous reading. Replace this passage with your own words to explore the typeface in another voice.
